Marites David, labor organizer for Organized Labor Union in Line Industries and Agriculture (OLALIA) national federation was arrested on October 29, 2024 in Brgy. Valenzuela, Makati city. David was arrested based on charges of violation of Comprehensive Law on Firearms and Ammunition. Before the arrest. David experienced harrasment from NTF-ELCAC and PNP CALABARZON last 2020 and 2021. These incidents were submitted to the workers’ report on ILO – High Level Tripartite MIssion last January 2023.
